Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

Valance collects no personal data. This policy explains exactly what the app connects to, and what stays on your Mac.

In short

Who we are

Valance is made by Ashley Corbion (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at the address at the end of this page.

What we collect

Nothing. Valance has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no crash-reporting SDKs, and you don’t create an account with us. No information about you or how you use the app is sent to us.

What the app connects to

Valance connects only to Apple:

What you send to Apple is processed by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy.

Your API key

When you import an App Store Connect API key, its private key is stored in the macOS Keychain on your Mac, available on this device only.

It never leaves your Mac except to sign requests sent to Apple. Even then, the key itself is not sent: each request carries a token signed with it.

Your projects

A project is a set of files you save wherever you choose. Sync state, such as the last pull and the App Store Connect identifiers that go with it, is kept in the app’s container on your Mac.

Purchases

The purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details.

This website

This website is hosted on our own server behind Cloudflare, which processes requests as a network provider. The website sets no cookies, uses no analytics, and we keep no access logs.

Emails to support

If you email us, we use your message and address only to answer you.

Children

Valance is a tool for app developers and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
